The working environment at Porsche Werkzeugbau

As a subsidiary of Porsche AG, Porsche Werkzeugbau is part of the Volkswagen Group. As such, it enjoys the advantages of belonging to a group, but always retains sufficient flexibility and manoeuvrability. The family climate and flat hierarchies mean short communication and reporting paths and create a personal working atmosphere. By belonging to a corporate group, our employees have excellent opportunities for professional development in a variety of directions and positions.

Our employees see themselves as “doers”: They like to take on new challenges and are used to thinking outside the box – because the project landscape at Porsche Werkzeugbau also goes beyond the automotive industry. They might be pressing doors for single-family homes or designing and manufacturing disinfectant dispensers in parallel for the group, for example. Boredom? Routine? Everyday? We don’t know the meaning of these words at Porsche Werkzeugbau.

Insights

Our working environment is created by the personalities of those who work here. Personalities which – in addition to their high level of professional competence – are distinguished in particular by their openness and by their communicative, friendly and sympathetic attitudes. That’s what makes us so successful as a company.

In love with detail

Our success is based on our specialists, who put their heart and soul into shaping our tools every day.

"You have to be a bit picky, with a love of detail," says Sven with a smile. The trained tool mechanic has been working in today's Porsche tool shop for over 20 years. "We don't work in the millimeter range, but in the micrometer range and thus create tools that are unparalleled in terms of precision," says Sven proudly of his work.

Precision is the be-all and end-all in Porsche toolmaking. The basis for this is the many years of experience and the high level of competence of the employees - whether on the shop floor, engineering or construction.

Sven also uses his knowledge and experience as a tool mechanic in his current job as a specialist analyst in specialist project management.

Holistic project support

Ismael has been working in project management since 2009 and is responsible for compliance with quality, cost and deadline specifications for his vehicle projects.

"I'm very proud of my participation in the first all-electric Porsche." As vehicle project manager for the Porsche Taycan, he was involved right from the start in the planning and development phase and accompanied the project for five years in Porsche toolmaking: from simultaneous engineering to handing over the tools to the customer, he and his project team coordinated the implementation and Production of the individual tool sets.

"It is precisely the close cooperation with the colleagues at Porsche AG and the departments involved in our company that makes the project work so varied and exciting. Good communication is the key to success."
